Hisense Google Canvas TV, Reviewed by an AD Design Editor (2025)

The starting price of a Hisense Google Canvas TV is $1,000 for its 55-inch size (my choice), though it’s currently marked down over 30% off for Black Friday. There are a few payment plan offerings, including Affirm or the Amazon Store Card.

What are the customization options?

There are four sizes available: 55, 65, 75, and 85 inches. The TV came with the teak frame included, which perfectly matches the darker woods in my home, though you can also purchase white and walnut frame options separately on the Hisense site.

Delivery & Installation

What was the delivery process like?

Hisense offers a couple of delivery options for their TVs: one where the device is lugged into a room of your choosing, or a deluxe delivery option which also throws in unpacking and removal of boxes and other shipping materials. Both of these options are complimentary on Amazon.

You can also opt for a professional TV wall-mounting service on Amazon for an extra $240. Note that the service doesn’t include compatible mounting hardware or removal and disposal of your old TV.

What was the installation process like? How long did it take, and how many people?

Instead of paying for the TV mounting service, I enlisted a Taskrabbit to help me install mine. The Google Canvas comes with legs, but I wanted a mounted display with no visible cords to detract from the viewing experience. With the Tasker’s expertise, it took under two hours to install in my living room—from unboxing to wall-mounting. It was still a two-person job, as I needed to help lift the 55-inch TV on the wall to get it in place on the mount (it’s a little heavy at about 40 pounds, by the way) and ensure everything looked level.

Having someone on-hand who was well-versed in the installation process proved to be necessary for me, as the TV box only came with screws for a wood wall mount. And since my wall, unbeknownst to me, has metal behind it, the Tasker had to use their own screws (toggle bolts, specifically) from their toolkit. The box also didn’t include equipment to hide cords behind the wall, so the professional used their own. I only put the power cord behind the wall since I knew I’d primarily use the Google Canvas for streaming content, but the TV has outputs available for external speakers or other equipment.
