The citrus and cotton farmers with a vibrant Indigenous art collection


People become art collectors in lots of different ways. For Dick and Lee Estens, the turning point was the day they bought a gracious and rambling old house in Moree in northern NSW.

Over 50 years, the house became a busy home for the Estens’ growing family and saw the birth of Dick’s pioneering Aboriginal Employment Strategy, which provides mentoring and customised training for Indigenous Australians to ensure they are employment-ready.
