Heddon-on-the-Wall Art Group exhibition raises funds

A wide range of unique and original artwork by regional artists was on display, as well as a raffle, with proceeds going to Tynedale Hospice at Home.

Visitors also had the opportunity to receive a personalised caricature drawing of themselves, courtesy of Mike Giblin – with a few pets receiving depictions too.

Ian Scott won the public vote for Best Picture for his hyper-realistic painting of Blue Row, a traditional property in the village.

The art group provides a supportive environment for artists to develop their skills, and offers tutorials from professional tutors across the North East.

Genres include portraits, landscapes, abstract, and calligraphy, in media such as pencil, watercolour, acrylic, and oil.

Anyone interested in joining the group can find out more by emailing chambers497@btinternet.com
