Young Devon artists invited to create work of Dartmoor

Young artists are being encouraged to “showcase their love for Dartmoor” in an art competition.

Roots Media, a not for profit clothing brand run by teenagers, and environmental charity Dartmoor Preservation Association (DPA) said the aim was for young people to connect with Dartmoor’s “inspiring landscapes”.

Those aged six to 18 can submit either paintings, photographs, sketches or digital art with submissions open until Monday 31 March.

The winning design will be printed on a special edition t-shirt with profits going to the DPA.

A spokesperson for Roots said: “Dartmoor sparks something magical in the hearts of young artists, and we’re honoured to provide a canvas for their voices.

“This collaboration with the DPA is about turning inspiration into action, ensuring that the beauty we admire today is preserved for generations to come.”
