The event, titled ‘Collector’s Choice’, will take place at the East Anglian Traditional Art Centre from Saturday, April 19, and will run for two weeks.
More than 50 oil paintings, pencil drawings, and watercolors will be showcased and available for purchase.
Many of these newly discovered pieces are by George Thomas Rope, a much-collected artist and natural historian from Blaxhall, who died in 1929.

“Our objective in the Art Centre is to promote interest in the Fine Art produced by Suffolk Artists working between 1750 and 1950, many of whom exhibited in the 19th century at the Fine Art Club in Ipswich.”
The ‘Collector’s Choice’ exhibition will be open from 11am to 4pm, Tuesday to Saturday, until May 3.
