Joe Kimble, emeritus professor at Jay Cooley Law School, says there are 260 pieces of artwork that he’s acquired throughout the years.

The collection was on display on the 6th floor of the university.
From Ray Charles to Eminem, Kimble says many of his pieces are done by local artists.
The collector says a Michigan State University student helped him grow his collection.
Back when Kimble was a student, he says that’s where his love of Rock N’ Roll and the blues first erupted.
“It’s been a it’s been a labor of 20 or 30 years collecting, you know, just the same way anybody collects, you know?” said Kimble.
“They collect the things that they like they enjoy that they enjoy looking at, that give them pleasure, and they enjoy sharing it with other people,” said Kimble. “Which is what I’m which is what I’m doing here today, and I hope that they hope everybody that sees it has the same enthusiasm for it and is interested in it and likes it as much as I do.”
Kimble hosted three tours Sunday afternoon, but says anyone interested in a future tour to contact him at kimblej@cooley.edu.
