Dramatic moment son of wealthy art collector is arrested for stabbing family maid he believed was a demon – after telling 999 handler: ‘I’m a nice boy from Chelsea’

Dramatic footage shows the moment the son of a wealthy art collector was arrested after he stabbed the family’s maid who he believed was a ‘demon’.

Maximillian Bourne, 26, attacked Joselia Pereira Do Nascimento with a kitchen knife at the family’s five-bedroom, £20million home in Justice Walk, Chelsea, on February 25 last year.

Bourne then put his hands around her neck and tried to strangle her as she lay wounded.

Footage shows officers telling Bourne to get on the ground while he appears to say ‘I’m sorry, I’m sorry, it was the devil.’

Bourne is then taken to the ground and handcuffed behind his back.

The CPS has also released the 999 call Bourne made after he stabbed Ms Do Nascimento.

He told the operator: ‘Hi, hello this is Max Bourne speaking.

‘Listen, there’s this demon woman in my house and I stabbed her because she’s a demon.

‘I’m a nice boy from Chelsea, I’m a nice boy from Chelsea, and you’re just going to have to please not bring a gun.

‘I do have blood all over me, I did stab her a few times, I’m a nice boy from Chelsea.’

Judge Gregory Perrins yesterday ordered Bourne’s detention in a psychiatric hospital indefinitely.

The housekeeper had been living in the property alone with Bourne for three months and noticed him sleeping on the bathroom floor and talking to himself.

A jury at Southwark Crown Court took just ten minutes to find Bourne ‘did the acts’ of stabbing and strangling Ms Do Nascimento after a trial lasting less than a day.

Bourne has been diagnosed with paranoid schizophrenia since the attack and has been receiving treatment in the Three Bridges medium secure psychiatric unit in Ealing, west London.

Bourne is the son of art dealer and philanthropist Sylvia Bourne and property developer Graham Bourne.

He is the great great grandson of Epitácio Pessoa who was the President of Brazil from 1919 to 1922.

Mrs Bourne’s father, Carlos Alberto Pessoa Pardellas, was a prominent diplomat who served as an ambassador to the UK.
